It’s a normal process of gaining weight while pregnant. Just how much weight you gain cannot be calculated. Your doctor may recommend how much weight you should gain, but your cravings tend to take over. The baby says, “I want a raw potato dipped in sugar.” Normally you don’t eat like that, but the baby wants what it wants.
You begin searching for ways to drop those pregnancy pounds after the baby is born. If you’re thinking strictly fruits and vegetables, don’t think that. Remember, you are still eating for two. If you eat something, the baby eats it through the breast milk. Here are a few ways to help you lose your pregnancy weight safely and as quickly as possible.
Work Out
Of course you knew that working out would be on the list. It doesn’t mean exercising for hours straight because your baby is going to keep you plenty busy. You probably didn’t get much exercising in while pregnant due to limitations from the doctor. It’s now time to increase your activity level to lose the pregnancy weight. Working out will also increase your energy level so that you can keep up with the new love of your life.
The exercise program you choose will need to focus on building muscle and cardio exercises. You can do some dancing for the cardio and lift things around the house for the muscle toning. I’m sure I don’t even need to tell you to wait a while for the stomach exercises. The cardio activities will reduce the fat all over the body so no rush on the stomach. Be patient with the stomach. The best part of all is you can do these things while the baby is with you. Do some deep-knee bends while your baby is in his swing chair. Grab a couple of canned vegetables and lift them over your head.
Consider doing yoga. You’ll be much more flexible and feel much less stressed.
Set Some Goals
Set some short-term goals and some long-term goals for yourself. The long term goals will be reached by succeeding with your short term goals. {A short-term goal would be losing X pounds each week, lifting the bag of flour over your head four more times this week than last week, dancing through five 3-minutes songs instead of three like you did last week}.
Don’t compare yourself to the other women who lose weight at a different rate than you, stay motivated by your own short term goals. You know your body is different. Don’t put yourself through that needlessly. You’ve just done the most difficult thing by bringing a baby into the world, everything else is down hill. Drop Pregnancy Pounds
Changing Your Eating Habits
Fortunately those weird cravings have stopped. Now it’s time to take control of what’s right to eat for you and your baby. A sure-fire way to lose pregnancy weight is to change your grocery list. When you get the munchies, and you will, head for the fruits and vegetables. Eat smaller meals but more often throughout the day. This will give you energy to keep up with your new baby and all the other things that come along. Take care of yourself and your beautiful new baby. Click Here
